About the Project
Hear the audio. Not the expectations.
Every day, musicians, producers, mixing engineers and audio enthusiasts compare microphones, preamps, plugins, interfaces, masters and mixes. Yet our judgment is often shaped before we even press play, by brand names, prices, popularity and expectations. Research shows these factors can influence our perception, even when the audio itself is identical.
Blind Audio Test was created to reduce that bias. Instead of asking “Which brand is this?”, we want listeners to ask: “Which version actually sounds better to my ears?”
Listen first. Judge second. Reveal last.
Privacy first
The first version of Blind Audio Test works entirely in your browser. Your audio files stay on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared unless you explicitly choose to in future versions. Compare sensitive recordings, commercial productions or work-in-progress projects with complete confidence.
Planned features
- Sample-accurate synchronized playback
- Blind A/B, A/B/X and multi-track comparisons
- Loudness matching
- Support for professional audio formats
- Optional publishing and sharing of comparisons
The Vision
Blind Audio Test aims to become an open platform where the audio community creates, shares and explores high-quality blind comparisons of equipment, plugins and productions.
